Ria Carval is a pop singer/songwriter who infuses her own soul and personal experiences into fresh beats and melodies.

Ria Carval is a Latin & Pop singer/songwriter born and raised in Cali, Colombia (Latin America). She came to the US at 17 to follow her passion and graduated with honors from The College of Saint Rose, holding a title in Music Industry Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Voice and Songwriting. At a very young age, Ria started her musical journey at a Music Academy. She participated in more than eight national contests growing up, winning its majority and always gaining recognition. She was also the opener for one of the biggest dance and music festivals in Colombia called "Festival Internacional del Ballet". Before leaving to the US to study her passion, she performed in a lot of venues as a soloist and with her band “The Pets”, which disbanded soon after she finished school. She also participated in programs from the most recognized music college in Colombia and programs with Berklee College Of Music - on the road series.  

Now at the age of 21, Ria’s debut album “Ignorance” has more than 57k streams across music platforms. She has released 1 album, 1 EP, 4 singles and a couple of collaborations and has a lot of music she has been working on during her college years releasing soon. She has been featured in multiple blogs, magazines, newspapers and TV appearances worldwide. Ria believes feelings are very underrated nowadays and her mission with her music is to help people feel to heal. She wants to show her fans all the emotions one lives in their life going through the process of growth and acceptance to find happiness.

The hardest part of moving forward is not looking back💞🌄 Hello my petals! I hope you’ve all been great! Today I am announcing what I have been going through for the past month that have changed the course of my life. As some of you have noticed and texted me about it, I have changed my location in most of my socials. Because of fate, destiny and God’s path, my time in New York has ended. I found an opportunity cross-country in California and I took it!🙈 The first time I did this I was 17 years old. In Colombia, I left all my life behind in hopes of finding a place that would make me feel like my dreams are possible. I did that and the past 4 years in NY have made me realize the world is small. I started to feel like my call might be placed somewhere else, and now here I am! It’s been crazy because all of this happened in a month. I quit my job in NY, packed my bags, said my goodbyes and now moved in to a new state across the country to make things work. You never know what life will bring you💁🏻‍♀️ I will miss all of my friends so much and that has been the hardest part of this process. All of you have been angels to me. I can say confidently that I would not be where I am today if they hadn’t been there for me in my hardest moments so far. I am no stranger to leaving people behind, but they are never forgotten. Wether we continue talking daily or once everyone other month, my friends will always be on my mind and behind every single decision I make, because it’s them who reminded me of my courage, bravery and worth. I am sure we will meet again soon enough and celebrate our accomplishments❤️ To you my petals, I hope you continue chasing your dreams like I have! Life is a gift so let’s make the best out of it. I released it in the middle of a very hectic time in my life, I’m still going through it lol, but I am soo happy I put it out there and it’s been received really well by you my petals. We got more than 10k streams on Spotify and more than 8.2k in the music video with barely any budget!🥳 I am blessed for that and for so many other things that have happened in my life lately.
